About Me

Founded in 2021 as a high school passion project, Tim began King Leather Products with a curiosity for traditional leatherwork and a desire to create things by hand.
Now operating out of Manhattan, Tim is involved in the local maker community through various artisan organizations across NYC. While his portfolio has grown, his core philosophy remains exactly the same: items shouldn't be built to be replaced next season, but used for life.

Passion Turned Craft

In 2021, while I was still in high school, I picked up a few leatherworking tools simply because I wanted to make something with my own hands. What began as a hobby quickly became an obsession. I spent countless hours studying traditional techniques, experimenting with different leathers, and refining every detail. Before long, friends and family began asking for pieces of their own, and what started as a passion project grew into King Leather Products.Today, I continue to handcraft every piece myself. Although my workshop and skills have evolved, the reason I started remains the same: I believe the things we carry every day should be made with care, built with purpose, and designed to last a lifetime.

Crafted by Hand, Built to Last

Leatherworking has taught me patience, precision, and the importance of doing things the right way rather than the fastest way. Every wallet, belt, keychain, and accessory I create is cut, stitched, and finished by hand. I don't believe in shortcuts or disposable products. My goal is simple: to create pieces that become part of your daily life and only grow more beautiful with age.Over the years, I have refined my techniques through hours upon hours at the workbench, constantly striving to improve my craftsmanship and deliver products that I would be proud to carry myself.

Materials Matter

Exceptional products begin with exceptional materials, which is why I work exclusively with premium full-grain vegetable-tanned leather sourced from some of the finest tanneries in the United States and Italy. Unlike heavily processed leather that wears out and cracks, full-grain leather retains its natural character and develops a rich patina unique to its owner.Combined with solid hardware and traditional construction techniques, these materials allow me to create pieces that aren't meant to be replaced every few years- they're meant to be carried for decades and passed down for generations.
